Keely Enright is the founder and producing director of The Village Playhouse and Repertory Company in Mt Pleasant, SC.

A native of Los Angeles and graduate of UCLA, she moved to Charleston 15 years ago to start her own theatre. She and her husband, managing director Dave Reinwald (who regularly acts as well as builds most of the sets that Keely designs), are now in their tenth season with some 100 productions on their résumé.

Under their direction, The Village Playhouse and Repertory Company has become one of South Carolina’s leading professional theatres. Keely is also on the board of directors of the League of Charleston Theatres where she has helped shape the development of theatre in the Lowcountry.

We recently sat down with Keely to talk about theatre, acting, and her specialty—directing.
