These are some of the questions that television host Charlie Rose recently put to Michael Boyd, Artistic Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) in Stratford, England.

The occasion for the interview was two-fold. One is that the RSC has just completed construction of its new state-of-the-art theatre (see link at the end of this article) in Stratford, England—wow.

The other is that RSC is putting on an elaborate series of performances in New York in an exact replica of its new Stratford theatre (watch the video below).
